An area of about 10 ft X 27 ft cleared in the basement floor for remote control tank combat!
I bought some camo denim for the floor. The plastic tracks (or treads) on the tanks would wear out quickly on the bare cement. The denim material enables some traction without wearing out the plastic.
Add some quickly built cardboard buildings and small pine trees (Christmas decorations from a craft store).
Also a two foot high partition around it to keep the tanks in and people large clumsy feet out!
